sams1ra: (get dean naked)

Yes. After careful considerations, I've decided Dean's a girl. A big, pink-wearing girl who likes glitter.

I can't get rid of how disappointed I was to find out the meaning of Dean's necklace. I mean, yeah, awwwwwwww, but seriously? And I was rewatching AHBL2 last night, and here comes Dean after making the deal to see his baby brother alive, and I stare at his necklace and go 'you are such a girl!'
Seriously? For almost a decade, he hasn't taken the thing off, cuz Sammy gave it to him for Xmas? Dude, paint the Impala pink, why don't you. You had better kick some majour demon ass, and soon. You know, before you get your PMS or something...
It kinda makes it difficult for me to see that necklace, which used to be part of the Dean Mystery, and think of it as a girly thing. Yes, it was sweet of Sammy, (Sort of, cuz it was, after all, meant for John)  but I'd have rather been kept in the dark about this. I'd have rather it stayed a mystery.

*hides*

Another thing.
A plot bunny bit me today, while I was thinking about what a girl Dean is, and how he has to kick demonic ass to regain some of his manhood.
Remember Croatoan?
So, what I was thinking is this:
Dean's time's up. His bill comes due. And there's a demon out there that really wants his soul.
So what if Dean doesn't DIE and go to hell. What if he just... disappears? Like all those people in Croatoan? And then Princess Sam would have to find princess Dean, and rescue him from Hell, and... something.

Whatever.

And onto RL.

I signed a lease on an apartment!
It's small-ish, 1.5 bedrooms, but it's in a good location, and mostly furnished, and mine!
The realter was a jerk, jerking my chain for 3 days until he called to say it was available, and then he asked for more money than we'd agreed upon, which, no way.
But the place is mine, I'm getting the keys on Thursday!
I don't know when the phone people will get there though, since the place doesn't have a phone line, let along an ADSL, so I might be off the grid for awhile after next week.
But I got the new place, I got the new job. A whole lot of new stuff to deal with. I'm finally starting my life.
And who knows, maybe my muse will come back, too. *fingers crossed*

Honestly, I still don't think we know truly what the necklas is. Bobby gave it to Sam to give to their dad. Bobby doesn't really deal in trinkets and jewelry, not unless it has a purpose. So while yes, Sam gave it to him and it has that sentimental value, I think there is still mystery about what the necklace is.

You know what, I refuse to believe it.
Sam was 8, and didn't really know what his Daddy was doing. He had his suspicions after reading the journal, but he didn't KNOW.
I think he turned to Uncle Bobby cuz he couldn't afford it. I think he might have seen it in a pawn shop or something, and needed the money.
As far as I'm concerened, the necklace part of the story is over. I refuse to set myself up for another disappointment, cuz that was a ginormous one.
You can also say that (Dean's a big girl) Dean has such a big heart and loves his family so much, he maybe wore it to make Sam feel better or whatnot. I don't care. I just have to get the image of Dean in pigtails and glitter out of my head... hee.

I don't argue the fact that Dean is a big girl, but I've not given up on the necklace. All Sam said was Uncle Bobby gave it to him to give to dad. Whether he picked it out of a store (which, why? The thing is ugly as sin) or rather (and this is what I think) Sam wanted to give something to his dad for Christmas and couldn't afford anything so uncle Bobby gave him the necklace to give. Sam didn't need to have any knowledge of what the necklace was or if it has and supernatural significance. Bobby is so heavily in the Supernatural world, I think its more than likely the necklace has more story to it. Of course if we never get more back story than that, fine, but I'm leaving myself open.

I really liked the story of how Dean came into possession of the necklace (even if it made him a big girl) and I was never even a little bit disappointed in how it was done. I watch Supernatural for the bond between the brother. In my opinion that was a perfect brotherly scene. The boys don't have much and don't have much to give, so I think that is the reason Dean cherishes it so much. Whether he knows if there is something special about the necklace or not, whether there is something special about it or not, it was a gift from his brother, probably one of the few he ever recieved that was truly a gift. Even if this is where the story of the necklace ends, I don't think I'm even a little disappointed. I have a feeling though there is more to it than meets the eye.

That of course is just my opinion on the whole thing.

And dude, you've got be thinking about Jensen with like...pink bows in his hair and stuff! Haha.

Ya know, I'm gonna have to watch the episode again, cuz I'm not 100% what Sam said exactly - if he got if from Uncle Bobby or something else.
It was a nice brotherly scene. But I'm not holding my breath for the necklace to be anything more than a brotherly thing.
