Speculation based on 4.18

No real spoilers within, since I'm a total spoilerphobe, but it is based on 4.18.

So, the monster at the end of the book.
I think most of us, if not all of us, think the monster is going to end up being Sam.
But you know what would be an awesome twist?
If it's not Sam.
If it's Dean.
Why?
Because no one is going to see it coming. And it's going to be awesome. And terrible, but also awesome.
And then Sam would have to use his deeeemonic powers to stop Dean and save the world and Dean would be all kickass again, and all us fangirls will squee our heads off. Or, you know, not.
I can totally see Kripke giggling in the writers' room, saying we'll never see it coming. Oh, Kripke, you evol genius, you.

YES! THIS! I had the same thought way back when I saw the DTaH/OTHoaP Promo! Got a whole post on just that on my lj. They've been really pushing the evil!Sam storyline, so I got wary after a while. Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks so!
*shifts eyes at Kripke and co.* They're gonna pull something big, I just know it.

I hope they do. I need them to. s3 and s4 kinda harshed my squee, so I need them to really floor me. I need more episodes like 4.18, or hell, even 4.01 was totally made of awesome. More please ^__^
