Review of 4X14

So, no play by play this time. I'm just happy Caleb Reeves didn't show up cuz for a moment there, we were totally in a Brotherhood fic.
I kinda liked this episode, mostly because I'm hoping this means the next ones will finally let go of the whole woe-is-me-Dean.

I loved that the siren ended up being a guy. I mean, I was totally going ewwwww there for a moment, especially with the 'you want me to be Sam' and just... ewwww. But then I realized he wasn't talking about Sam as much as he was talking about a little brother that looks up to Dean, and then I went all awww Dean and my voice went hypersonic.

Am I the only one who flinched when Sam said those things to Dean? That Dean was holding him back? I mean, it may be the Deangirl in me, but I thought what Dean said makes total sense, and I agree. Sam's been keeping secrets, and I think that Dean would have probably played along with some of this stuff if Sam only talked to him about it and used his puppy eyes.

And did Sam's eyes have a glint of yellow in them or did I imagine that?

I can't tell you how much I wanted Sam to bash Ruby's head in. I know she'll just find a new body, but maybe that one could act, so I'm cool with that. And I kinda giggled at the thought of Dean being the woman closest to Sam. No offence, Dean, but you have been wining a long this season. I miss my macho Dean.

Oh, and let us not forget the sheer awesomeness that is Bobby. HOMG, BOBBY!!! \0/
Those phones!! I ♥ Bobby so freaking much!!!

So I'm glad things are out on the table with the boys (and the indignant look on Dean's face when Bobby gave them sodas! Hee!)

Now, let's see if I can write something *snorts*
Yeeeaaaah, that's as probable as Dean leaving Sam, which I'm totally writing in my fic (but that's a spoiler, right?).

BTW, I was just watching s1, and Hell House was on. Now, Hell House wasn't one of my faves back in s1, but... but..  I SO miss the brothers being brothers! I say bring the prank wars back! Bring back juvenile Dean and cunning Sam and just the brothers being evil geniuses brothers.

I do agree with you. I want them to be brothers again and take care of each other. I just hope this is a step, usually brothers always have times in wich they keep secrets, the only thing is that this is not the right time to it. They must stay together now that everything is against them.

Yes, just for a while, this is not the first time Sam says something like this to Dean, but Dean is still the big brother and big brothers and specially this always take care of the small ones no matter what.
I think that Sam needs to be remindes about what Dean endured because of him.

You know, tru_faith_lost said, and I somewhat agree, that what Dean had been through is the cause of what Sam's doing. I mean, all the helplessness and frustration of over a year of not being able to save Dean, and then the helplessness of helping him cope with what had happened, morphed into rage against Dean. I think there's truth to that, especially since Sam "gives up" every time Dean seems to (Dean thinks he'll die young and bloody, Sam goes to Ruby again).
That being said, Sam's been keeping secrets from day 1, and other big brothers who are not as awesome might have blamed him for their crappy lives. He is, after all, the cause of Mary's death and John's morph from devoted father to drill sargent...
*sigh*
Can we just smack Sam over the head with an anvil or something?
