Oh gosh Dean...his poor little heart having to deal with that, all the fun being taken out of blowing bubbles at such a tender age because of that memory. Bless John for trying so hard though for both his boys and Dean volunteering to tell Sam all about Mary. It just made my heart ache that he couldn't face playing the game again. Also loved this line: John grinned when he heard his youngest ask his brother about his new nickname, and if it meant the surprise was going to the zoo. God, he loved his boys
Haha poor Sammy! I thought you really captured the kids well here. I recently bought bubbles for the kids I looked after for the summer and the newly 3yr old was absolutely fascinated by them. Did exactly the same thing as Sammy by not dunking the stick in far enough! x
