What a unique view of Hell, but a very appropriate one. I love the idea that Hell isn't physical suffering, but instead is seeing the mistakes you made and feeling the regrets over your life. It's also right that John still feels he is in Hell with Mary, his choices did condemn the boys to a lonely and painful childhood. Hopefully he will also realize that if he had let go Sam would have been thrown into Survivor: Cold Oak, South Dakota, totally unprepared and would have either died or turned completely evil just because he wasn't prepared. Great story, it made me think (always a good thing)
