I know, John is being an @$$ here, but imho, it's true to character. It's like in Dean Man's Blood, when he rags on Dean for not taking care of his baby. I mean, pah-lease!
And yeah, I guess it is sad, but if you think about it, it's sort of like IMToD - he's not really trying, now is he?
